About the Conference

Celebrating four decades of collaboration and progress

The 2024 Annual Environmental Conference is presented by the Industrial Environmental Association (IEA). .

The 40th Annual Environmental Training Symposium & Conference will be held in-person at the San Diego Convention Center. This conference includes about 25 educational sessions on three tracks running simultaneously over two days. The conference hosts a robust Exhibit Hall, an Awards Luncheon, and a San Diego Bay Yacht Cruise. Panels will cover topics including air, hazardous materials, health & safety, sustainability, and water quality, with expert speakers from Southern California.

Past annual IEA conferences have hosted about 500 attendees from various professions such as environmental, health, and safety experts, NGO representatives, environmental engineers from public and private sectors, environmental consultants and attorneys, government affairs representatives, DoD, and many more.

The conference will be held at the San Diego Convention Center located at 111 W Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. The main conference halls are Banquet Hall 6B, Exhibit Hall 6A, and Breakout Rooms (9, 10, 11A, 11B) which is located on the upper level of the Convention Center (view map).

If you are traveling, book a room for the event with Courtyard Marriott San Diego Gaslamp/Convention Center by September 7, 2021. The hotel is less that half a mile from the San Diego Convention Center. Rooms available for Monday, October 4, 2021 and Tuesday, October 5, 2021 with checkout on the morning of Tuesday, October 6, 2021.

The closest hotels to the San Diego Convention Center are the Hilton Bayfront and the San Diego Marriott Marquis, both of which are next door. The Hard Rock Hotel is one block away and the Courtyard by Marriott is about 4 blocks away.
