With the approval of the Adult Use of Marijuana Act in 2016 and subsequent legalization on January 1, 2018, cannabis cultivators in California are required to enroll in a number of environmental permits. The focus of this panel presentation is environmental compliance challenges and impacts in light of the current legalization status of cannabis in the state. Panelists will also discuss the anticipated environmental climate in the cannabis industry 5 years after legalization.
